Cheap and easy Halloween costumes

With Halloween approaching I thought I throw together a compilation of all the costumes I've done over the past years that are super cheap and easy if you find yourself in a pinch. Halloween is one of those holidays that you want to look cute, maybe scary, but also don't want to spend an arm and a leg on something you'll only wear once. Most of these you can use something you probably have in your closet already. Averaging $20 or less, throw on a little makeup, fake blood and your good to go for any Halloween event!

 The Skeleton
What you need:
  •  black clothing
  •  white face paint
  • black face paint
  • black liquid-liner
  • regular eyeliner.

Now this may take a trial run, but there are so many YouTube videos out there you can watch to get it down! This is so easy, cheap and chic I've been a skeleton twice. As long as your decent with eyeliner you can pull this off no problem!

For clothing, I say whip out that fitted, can't eat all week dress to spice it up! Or do like I do and throw on 2 pair of spanks and pray you don't have a small bladder!

Scream Queen
 What you need:
  • All pink preppy clothing
  • fake blood
  • If you can find a devil that's a plus
If you haven't watched Scream Queens, stop reading this and go watch it NOW! I MEAN IT! It's amazing! This costume was fun cause I don't typically wear a lot of pink so I had fun shopping for this outfit. Now it could get pricey depending on how much you'd need to buy clothing wise. I just got some super duper sale clothes from ASOS, sending no more than $50 for the whole outfit. Not to much more than a store bought costume and way cuter!

The Witch

What you need:
  • Dark lipstick
  • witches hat ($5 at Halloween store)
  • dark clothing (basically anything in my closet)
  • dark eye-shadow
Kind of like the skeleton, the only thing I need to buy was the hat and I got a cheap dark dark red lipstick. This is fun cause if your closet is like mine you get to wear what ever you want and then just make some extra dramatic eyes and your good to go! The hat is a dead give away and no one will ask you what you are! Also, if you watch AHS Coven there are some great #OOTD looks to get you inspired!

Purge/The Strangers/ Creepy Person in Animal Mask

What you need:
  • fake blood (used from previous years, I don't think it goes bad)
  • animal mask
  • fake weapon if your feeling extra
This was kind of inspired by The Strangers, but I thought the bunny mask was cuter. The mask was like $7 on Amazon and I had the dress in my closet, one of those things you have and never wear, but for Halloween it works!  Splatter a little blood on you and pick up a plastic weapon if your feeling it and your ready to creep out your neighbors.

Eleven

What you need:
  • Pink dress
  • skater socks
  • blue jacket
  • fake blood
This was not as cheap as the others I've done, but I had the blonde hair and love Stranger things. You can get the dress on Amazon for around $40 and if you can order an XL kids you can find it for a bit cheaper.  This was just fun cause so many people knew the character!

 Killer Doctor/Nurse

What you need:
  • Scrubs ( Walmart set $15)
  • Fake blood
  • bandages ( $5, if you don't have some in your home already! )
Easy and comfortable. This was the only semi good photo from that year, but this was by far the most comfortable costume I've ever worn.  I mean who doesn't love the chance to wear scrubs, unless you wear them every day at work then this may not be something your into....

PJ Onesie of any kind

What you need:
  • a onesie of your choice from target, Walmart, amazon, really any major retailer
Comfort is king (or Queen) with my last option, the onesie! I usually wear these to work on Halloween, but these are just so easy and can be worn for bed later!  Also, they are so freaking cute! Who doesn't love a onesie?!?!?
