Attacking pimples and dry skin
Problem: Dry skin
During the winter and even the summer, when my skin in dry from sun exposure, my favorite cleanser is the Neutrogena Hydro Boost exfoliating cleanser or Aveeno Positively Radiant Brightening Cleanser. As soon as I pat my skin dry I love to slather on Glossier Super Bounce Serum, first I pat it into the skin with my finger tips and then use a chilled jade roller to help depuff and sooth my skin. I found my jade roller on Amazon. If time permits I will throw on a Sephora eye mask, my favorites are the Avocado, Rose or the Pearl mask. I also use the Mario Badescu Hyaluronic eye cream under my eyes as well as my neck. I follow it all up with a spray of rose water, again Mario Basescu. If I need to put on a face, do my make up, I like to use the Dr.Jart+ Beauty Balm. It is moisturizing, tinted and has SPF.
Problem: Breakouts
Let me preface this with the fact I am a Proactive user and have been since I was a teenager. When I'm on my period or have been wearing a lot of makeup and fear I may run the risk of a full fledged break out I go back to Proactiv. It's not for everyone, but for myself it always helps. I always keep it in my routine and it seems to help keep major breakouts at bay.
Back to my routine....
When I am struggling with blemishes I start with the Proactiv cleansing wash. Then I follow it up with the Proactiv treatment cream. If I have the time I use the Mario Badescu Drying mask as a spot treatment and my Neutrogena Light Therapy mask. I always follow it up with a light moisturizer, either Dr. Jart+ Water Drop moisturizer or Dr.Jart+ Water Fusion Hydro Gel.
If I'm going somewhere and I need to put on makeup I use either Clinique Acne Solutions Foundation or the Clinique BB Acne Solutions cream. Both of these products makes me feel like I can wear makeup and fight my blemishes at the same time, leaving me worry free about making more zits by wearing makeup. Always a good rule of thumb is to ditch the makeup if your suffering from a bad breakout. Luckily I've become more comfortable with my skin I usually avoid makeup at all cost if I'm really struggling with a breakout. But if need be these are my go-to products!
