REVIEW TIME: Neutrogena Light Therapy Acne Mask

If you are like me you saw this product on T.V about a year ago and immediately thought I have to try this and I doubt it really works.  Well, fast forward a year and I finally got my hands on one.

Before I get into my thoughts and review. This is how it is suppose to help diminish acne, based on some research and what Neutrogena states on the box. The blue light is suppose to kill the bacteria deep below the surface and the red light is supposed to help with inflammation and can even help with collagen production! Again, it seems like this can only help your skin!
Not willing to spend $35 of my own money I asked for the light mask as a Christmas gift.  I opened it, read the directions (plug the cord in all the way cause apparently this was a user problem and can cause you to lose treatments) and let the light work its magic. Not a surprise after the 10 minute treatment I took the mask off and my skin felt the same and for the most part looked the same.
If you read the suggested use you can use this product everyday and I use it about 3 times a week. Now is my skin clean and clear 24/7.... no, but I didn't think it would work miracles. And I'm not going to get into the hormonal cystic acne I still get during that time of the month, but overall I see a reduction in my white heads and daily blemishes. I have sensitive skin so this also is an awesome addition to anyone's routine who has difficulty with harsh products.
All in all, it's worth a try and you get 30 treatments which lasts you at least a month. Worst case you get a few good snaps or selfies and a few fewer pimples.
